The bridge over the Columbia River at Astoria near the mouth of the River from the Astoria side...I live over on the other side...that's miles and miles of bridge...REAL interesting when a bodacious storm is blowing in over the bar...
Yep, thats a long bridge. And that's a river's mouth that gets some monster storms.
I've been on that bridge, at night, when waves crashed over the low section. And up high, the heavy steel gerders did a wobbly dance. Pretty skeery to be that high up in the dark and see the bridge parts wibble wobbling back and forth like that!
